Microsoft 365 Migration

Microsoft 365 migration services

Move email, files, calendars and collaboration into Microsoft 365 — from Google Workspace, another Microsoft tenant, hosted email or on-premise servers — with planning that keeps people working.

How does a Microsoft 365 migration work?

A Microsoft 365 migration prepares the target tenant (identity, licences, security and structure), copies mail, calendars and files from the source system in advance, then cuts over in a planned window by switching mail routing (MX records) and user sign-in, followed by a final sync and user support. Good migrations also redesign file structure and permissions rather than copying old problems.

A migration is a chance to fix the structure

Copying a messy file server into SharePoint gives you a messy SharePoint. We use the migration to agree a sensible structure, clean up permissions and archive what is no longer needed — and set up the tenant securely from day one, with Microsoft 365 security baselines in place.

Migrations are also people events. Users need to know what changes, when, and how to do their everyday tasks afterwards. We plan the communication and support as carefully as the data movement. Our Microsoft 365 migration checklist covers the details.

Technology does not operate in silos. These are the capabilities that most often sit alongside this one in a real engagement.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Will we lose email during the migration?

No — mail is pre-staged and the cutover is planned so new mail flows to the new platform once routing changes, with a final sync to catch anything in between.

How long does a Microsoft 365 migration take?

It depends on users, data volume and complexity. Small organisations can often migrate in a short, well-planned window; larger ones migrate in batches.

Do users need training?

Usually some — particularly when moving from Google Workspace. We provide practical guidance focused on everyday tasks.

Can you migrate shared drives and permissions?

Yes, and we recommend reviewing them during migration rather than copying old permission problems.
