AI Consulting & Strategy
AI consulting and AI strategy
Independent, practical AI consulting that connects AI investment to business priorities — then stays to deliver it. We help leadership decide where AI is worth applying, in what order, with what controls.
What does an AI consultant do?
An AI consultant helps an organisation decide where artificial intelligence creates real value and how to adopt it safely. That means understanding business priorities and pain points, assessing data and system readiness, prioritising use cases by value and feasibility, defining governance and success measures, and producing a roadmap the organisation can actually deliver — ideally with the capability to implement it.
AI strategy that leads to working systems
Many AI strategies stop at a slide deck: a list of possibilities, a maturity model and a recommendation to "start experimenting". Ours ends with a prioritised roadmap, agreed success measures and a first use case that can move straight into implementation — because the same partner can build, integrate and support it.
We start with the business, not the technology: strategic priorities, where time is lost to repetitive or information-heavy work, where customers wait, where decisions lack information. Only then do we look at which AI capabilities — assistants, automation, document processing, analytics — fit those problems, and what your data, security and skills position allows.
What the engagement produces
Prioritised use-case portfolio
Opportunities ranked by business value, feasibility, risk, implementation effort and speed to impact.
AI roadmap
A sequenced plan of pilots, scale-up and enabling work such as data clean-up and access control.
Governance model
Who approves use cases, how risk and data protection are assessed, and how human oversight is maintained.
AI policy and acceptable use
Clear guidance for staff on which AI tools may be used, with what information, and how.
Success measures
Outcome measures agreed before build, so the value of each use case can be demonstrated.
Pilot definition
A scoped first use case ready for delivery, with the integrations and controls it needs.
How an AI consulting engagement runs
01
Leadership discovery
Strategic priorities, appetite for change, constraints and what success looks like.
02
Process and pain-point mapping
Workshops with the teams doing the work to find repetitive and information-heavy tasks.
03
Readiness review
Data, systems, security, skills and governance — the readiness assessment in summary form.
04
Prioritise and plan
Score use cases and build the roadmap and governance model.
05
Mobilise the first use case
Move the highest-value, lowest-risk opportunity into delivery.
Connected capabilities
Where this connects to the rest of the work
Technology does not operate in silos. These are the capabilities that most often sit alongside this one in a real engagement.
FAQ
Frequently asked questions
How is AI consulting different from buying an AI tool?
A tool solves one problem in one way. Consulting decides which problems are worth solving, which capability fits each one, and what has to be true about your data, security and processes for the result to work.
Do we need an AI strategy if we are a mid-sized business?
You need a proportionate one. For a mid-sized business that may be a short prioritised list of use cases, an acceptable-use policy and one well-run pilot — not a year-long programme.
Are you tied to a particular AI vendor?
No. We recommend capabilities based on your environment — including Microsoft and Google platforms you already pay for — and the use case, not a default vendor.
What does an AI acceptable-use policy cover?
Which tools staff may use, what information may and may not be entered into them, how outputs must be checked, and who to ask. It is one of the quickest ways to reduce AI risk.
How quickly will we see value?
The roadmap deliberately puts a high-value, low-risk use case first so that value is demonstrated early, while enabling work for larger opportunities runs in parallel.
